About the Conference

After ten years, the congress makes its historic return to South America, a region at the forefront of the global fight against Plasmodium vivax malaria due to its high endemicity and unique epidemiological profile.

The 10th International Conference on Plasmodium vivax Research (ICPvR 2027) will convene leading scientists, clinicians, and public health professionals to exchange recent discoveries and innovations in Plasmodium vivax research.

Hosted by the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), a global leader in biomedical science and tropical medicine, the conference will highlight advances in molecular epidemiology, vector biology, clinical management, and elimination strategies for vivax malaria.

This edition marks a milestone in strengthening regional and global partnerships to accelerate progress toward malaria elimination.

Visa and travel information

Invitation Letter Requests

Participants who require an official invitation letter for visa applications or other administrative purposes are kindly requested to send an email to icpvr2027.peru@oficinas-upch.pe, using the subject line “Request for Official Invitation Letter – ICPvR 2027” and providing the following information:

  • Full name (as it appears on the passport)
  • Passport number
  • Date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
  • Professional position and institution
  • City and country of residence
  • Email address
  • Type of participation (attendee or abstract presenter)
  • Presentation title (if applicable)

Important: Official invitation letters will only be issued to participants who have either submitted an abstract and/or completed their conference registration payment. Please note that an invitation letter does not guarantee visa approval.

Participants are responsible for obtaining the necessary travel documents and complying with the applicable visa requirements.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Participants who wish to cancel their conference registration may request a refund by contacting the Organizing Committee at icpvr2027.peru@oficinas-upch.pe. Please note that a 10% administrative fee will be deducted from the total registration amount paid.  All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing via email. Refunds will be processed following verification of the original payment and in accordance with the applicable administrative procedures. Any bank charges or transaction fees associated with the refund, if applicable, may be deducted from the refundable amount.

Hotels Accommodation

The InterContinental Real Lima Miraflores is the official venue and main hotel for ICPvR 2027.

To assist attendees with their accommodation arrangements, the Organizing Committee has prepared a list of recommended hotels selected based on their proximity to the conference venue.

Some hotels offer special rates for ICPvR 2027 attendees. Please note that all prices are provided for reference only, are quoted in US dollars (USD), and exclude applicable taxes (IGV) and service charges.

All reservations, inquiries, and payment arrangements must be made directly with the respective hotels. Rates and availability are subject to confirmation by each hotel.
